Applications
Pro Gear is recommended for use in front and rear differentials, manual transmissions and lower gear units of marine engines or anywhere an API GL-5 gear oil is specified.
Maxima 75W-90 Pro Gear Oil Ester Synthetic is designed for motorcycles, ATVs, and UTVs. It is excellent for shaft-drives, final drives, and independent transmissions without wet clutches. However, it must not be used in transmissions that use a wet-clutch system. . It is not suitable for most standard dirt bikes with wet-clutch transmissions (like 2-strokes and many 4-strokes), as automotive gear oils contain friction modifiers that cause clutch slippage.
Maxima 75W-90 Pro Gear Oil can be used in snowmobiles, specifically for the chaincase or gearcases, provided your machine does not use a wet clutch or require a specific low-viscosity fluid.
It is not recommended for use in 2-speed or complex multi-range snowmobile transmissions (such as those found on utility models like the Ski-Doo Skandic or Expedition). Always use the OEM-specified lubricant for these units.
